No Constitutional Rights For Children In Virginia

02 Dec

In another disgusting display of unconstitutional power grabbing, Virginia’s Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has ruled that school children can have their Constitutional rights violated.  I am tired of government believing they have the right to take away our God-given rights whenever they please.  If you live in Virginia, I’d let your Attorney General know that your children’s rights need to be respected; even when they are at school.

Institutional abuse always starts when the rights of children are ignored, and it seems to me on the other side of the Big Pond that this has Constitutional implications. School rules do not over-ride the Constitution and its Amendments.

Try the First. Wikipaedia: “In Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District, 393 U.S. 503 (1969), the Supreme Court extended free speech rights to students in school. The case involved several students who were punished for wearing black armbands to protest the Vietnam War. The Supreme Court ruled that the school could not restrict symbolic speech that did not cause undue interruptions of school activities. Justice Abe Fortas wrote, [S]chools may not be enclaves of totalitarianism. School officials do not possess absolute authority over their students. Students…are possessed of fundamental rights which the State must respect, just as they themselves must respect their obligations to the State.”

Better yet take them out of the government schools altogether.
